Loaned Exective Program

There are many ways you can get involved in our local United Way. We have programs, volunteer opportunities and even committees that always have a need for an extra hand to help. By becoming involved with United Way, you are making a difference in the Brazos Valley.

Below are the programs of United Way in which you can get involved.

Get Involved

The Load Executive program is a very important part of making our Community Campaign a success. Local community members serve as Ambassadors for United Way whenever possible, making sure the public understands what United Way does in our community.

The United Way of the Brazos Valley Youth Leadership Cabinet (YLC) promotes civic involvement and responsibility by providing high school students, grades 9-12, with opportunities to participate with United Way by:

1. Serving on the Youth Cabinet, committees and allocation panels
2. Assisting in raising funds during the fall United Way campaign
3. Performing community service projects

Young Leaders Society was developed to provide a forum in which leaders with diverse backgrounds, values and points of view come together in a neutral setting to intentionally and deliberately grow in leadership development. Members will benefit from educational, social, and service opportunities to help improve their leadership skills and expand their personal and professional contacts. Individuals between the age of 22 and 45 that exemplify its core values of Commitment, Excellence and Integrity are encouraged to apply!

United Way on Campus serves to increase community involvement within the Texas A&M student body and serves as a liaison between the Brazos Valley area and the student body by providing volunteer opportunities in the local community to students and on campus organizations. United Way on Campus accomplishes this by:

1. Educating our members, other student organizations, and the Texas A&M student body about the United Way of Brazos Valley and its partner agencies.

2. Raising funds for community initiatives in the Brazos Valley.

3. Inviting guest speakers who embody our mission to attend meetings.

Retiree Council

Formed in the fall of 2007, the Retiree Council encourages retired individuals to continue to give to United Way. This council, made up of 18 local retirees, worked diligently to mail over 4,000 letters to retired individuals in our community with one request – give back! Whether through volunteer opportunities or monetary donations, the work of the Retiree Council will continue to grow.
