Events
The United Way Day of Caring is a one day event that brings local individuals together to help out our neighbors. United Way partners provide the jobs to be completed and local businesses and individuals form teams who VOLUNTEER to help complete the tasks during the day. Whether it's painting a room at Twin City Mission or mowing yards at clients' houses, every person is needed and appreciated. If you are interested in forming a Day of Caring team for this year or sponsoring the event in some way, please email us at uway@uwbv.org.
United Way of the Brazos Valley had their Annual United We Roll event on October 28, 2010. This event not only creates public awareness but also benefits the local Community Campaign. DoubleDave's generously donated a portion of all sales that day from all three Bryan/College Station locations. Each location featured Celebrity Pizza Rollers as well as other fun activities for families and community members. The United Way Annual Recognition Luncheon is held to thank our volunteers and contributors who have helped to make our campaign year a success. This particular event is sponsored by local banks and serves as a vehicle to honor those individuals and corporations who GIVE time, money and resources to help our neighbors in the Brazos Valley.
